OFF-WORLD NEWS DIGEST | VOL. III, No. 2

Welcome to another edition of the OFF-WORLD NEWS Digest.

In the news ...

--A Blade Runner fanfiction story by Sara Campbell has been found! Campbell was the editor and publisher of the first Blade Runner fanzine, CITYSPEAK. The story is titled "Two Faces" and is featured in the fanzine, "TIME WARP". As Anne Elizabeth Zeek, the fanzine's Editor-in-chief, said of "Two Faces";
"Sara Campbell's "Two Faces" gives us a unique look at the world of the BLADE RUNNER. Consider most carefully the title of this vignette -- and then prepare yourself for an ending that will twist around all your preconceptions of the universe presented to us in that most complex and fascinating movie."
The story is available to read and download at the CITYSPEAK athenaeum website HERE

--The 2014 Philip K. Dick Festival date and location has been set: April 25-26, 2014 -- UC Irvine in Irvine, California. A Facebook event has been set up for this festival in addition to the Facebook page that has been used for the two previous conferences.

OFF-WORLD NEWS DIGEST | VOL. III, No. 1

Welcome to another edition of the OFF-WORLD NEWS Digest.

In the news ...

Screenwriter, Scott Z. Burns, discusses his involvement with the Blade Runner sequel. When it was revealed that Ridley Scott had been working on a Blade Runner sequel for the last couple of years, there was understandably much excitement, with plenty of speculation as to when the film might see the light of day.

Among all the speculation was the suggestion that screenwriter Scott Z. Burns might be in the process of writing a script. That rumour was eventually shot down, but Burns himself has been talking about the project, and suggests that his involvement is still very much alive. You can read the article on the website Total Films.

In other news, Joanna Cassidy discusses her dancing video and the Blade Runner scene that never was. The interview is available at the Forbes website. And there are some awesome, exclusive photos from the shoot available at the BladeZone website HERE.

Blade Runners' Sean Young says she wants to come back for the sequel. Read the article HERE, from Cinema Blend.com.

In November, "Castle" TV series : Season 5, Episode 6, "The Final Frontier", "Blade Runner" got a shout out!
